Helen Ryvar, from Llay, is running to raise money for Mind following the tragic sudden death of her ex-husband in 2020, just before the lockdown hit the UK.

She said it was a huge shock, leaving her kids devastated, but running helped the now 42-year-old deal with the bereavement process, by focusing her energy on something positive and staying strong for her children.

North Wales Police warning after increase in thefts from unsecure vehicles

Drivers are being provided with simple measures to protect their vehicle and deter potential thieves.

All vehicles should be locked, even when filling up with fuel or leaving it parked on a driveway as it reduces the possibility of them being targeted by thieves.

Mark Jones, 64, started his five-day cycle on May 23, completing a grand total of 582.3km (approx. 361.82 mi), ascending 6,874m at an average speed of 18.2km.

Tom Vickery, 31, from Exeter, is fundraising for the Adam Stansfield Foundation in memory of Adam who was a professional footballer.

Adam sadly passed away from bowel cancer in 2010 at the age of 31.

In a bid to raise funds, Tom contacted the star player, McAlinden, for help, who kindly donated one of his match shirts.

Johns’ Boys choir, from Rhos, made it to the top three but just missed their place in Sunday’s final when it came down to the judges voting between them and 11-year-old singer Olivia Lynes.

A disabled Eurostar passenger was abandoned on a train at St Pancras station – despite booking wheelchair assistance ahead of her travels.

Jacqueline Jackson, 55, from East Sussex, had arrived in London from Paris last week when staff left her stranded on the train.

Jaki, who was diagnosed with ALS in August, had booked staff assistance ahead of her trip.

But staff failed to show, leaving her stranded and alone for 15 minutes before she was eventually helped.
